The Women’s Premier League 2025–26 kicked off with a resounding victory for DLSW Women Premier, who showcased both bowling firepower and batting composure to defeat KCC Women Premier by nine wickets at KCC on 8 February 2026.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, DLSW’s attack dismantled KCC for just 88 runs in 19.3 overs. Leading the charge was Maryam Bibi, whose spell of 4 overs, 9 runs, 3 wickets earned her the Player of the Match award. She was supported brilliantly by debutants Venkatesh Ruchitha (4–0–12–2) and Aleena Sattar (2.3–0–9–2), both striking key blows in their maiden Premier League appearances.
