The Morning Cricket League Division 2 Plate Final (2025-26) at Po Kong Village Road, Hong Kong, ended in emphatic fashion as Sixologists outclassed United Punjab CC by nine wickets to secure third position.

United Punjab CC, batting first after winning the toss, managed 141/6 in 20 overs. Their innings was anchored by Manjinder Singh’s 38 off 26 balls and Jaibir’s unbeaten 33 off 31 deliveries, with Varinder Singh contributing 24. Despite these efforts, the batting lacked a decisive big score. Sixologists’ bowlers kept control, with Kannan Asoori Sridhar (2/24) and Vivek Arya (2/10) striking crucial blows, while Tarun Hathiramani (1/18) added support.

Chasing 142, Sixologists were powered by a breathtaking innings from Vivek Arya, who smashed 88 not out off 44 balls, including 8 fours and 6 sixes, at a strike rate of 200. His dominance ensured the chase was completed in just 12.3 overs. He was well supported by Gurpreet Singh Brar, who remained unbeaten on 21, guiding the team to 142/1.

United Punjab CC’s bowlers struggled to contain Arya’s assault, with captain Dupinder Singh (1/29) the only wicket-taker.
