The Cricket Hong Kong, China Saturday Championship – Division 2 (2025-26) clash at GDB on 24 January 2026 was defined by a stellar bowling performance from Praveen Kumar Singh, whose 5/26 in 7 overs dismantled Laguna Gully’s chase and secured a 47-run win for DLSW Thunder.

Batting first, Thunder posted 187 all out in 35 overs, built on Bhavik Bhayani’s composed 55 off 84 balls and Vivek Arya’s aggressive 48 off 39 deliveries. Trunal Bane added 31, ensuring a competitive total despite a late collapse. Laguna’s bowlers kept the innings in check, with Venkatesh Beemineni (4/31) and Shashank Chunduru (4/41) sharing eight wickets.

In reply, Laguna Gully faltered and were bowled out for 140 in 31.2 overs. While Mandravanan Sathya (30 off 57) and Sateshwar Prasad Gaur (26 off 45) offered resistance, Singh’s relentless spell broke the backbone of their batting. He was well supported by Kailash Chandwani (2/15) and Vivek Arya (2/33), ensuring wickets fell at regular intervals.

Despite Laguna’s spirited bowling effort, their batting collapse handed Thunder a deserved victory. With Bhavik Bhayani’s steady half-century and Praveen Kumar Singh’s match-winning five-wicket haul, DLSW Thunder showcased their balance of batting resilience and bowling firepower to claim a commanding Division 2 win.
