First Quaid-i-Azam Trophy was held on 25th and 26th of December 2003 in Hong Kong , to commemorate the birth of the great leader and founder of Pakistan , Quaid-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

The two day event was first of its kind in Hong Kong and the matches were played between the two prominent teams in Hong Kong i-e. Little Sai Wan Cricket Club and Pakistan Association.

The event attracted a number of cricket lovers and officials from the Pakistan Consulate in Hong Kong.

On the first day, Azmat Ali Ranja, the Consulate General of Pakistan was the Chief Guest. In his address to the players and audience Mr. Ranjha praised and congratualted the organizers to hold such an event in honor of Quaid-i-Azam. He promised that Pakistan consulate will sponsor this event which will be held annually in Hong Kong. He also stressed that pakistani community should take part more in the extra curricular activities in Hong Kong and to well promote the name of pakistan.

2nd day event was the final day and Ms Nighat Ali Sha from Pakistan information ministry in Hong Kong was the chief guest. she also endorsed comments made by Pakistan General Consul Mr. Ranjha to support this event annually and said she will personally take interest to make it as an official event by Pakistan consulate in Hong kong.
