LSW Warriors wins against Lamma in Top of League Clash

LSW Warriors enjoyed a 43 run victory against League contenders Lamma CC. A much anticipated match in HK Cricketing Circles, both teams were able to field full strenght teams.

Lamma had Butt Hussain, fresh from his success in UAE, and hard hitting batsman, Rizwan Sattar and Toby White. LSW had the inform batsman Moner Dar who has been single handedly wining matches for the club. But it is time for the other LSW batsman to fire.

Batting first LSW lost Azhar Illahi early to the bowling of Butt Hussain. His replacement Jawaid Iqbal also didnt last long. However Zain Abbas and Tabarak Dar looked to stay in and build a partnership. They started caustiously but then started to pick up the run rate. Zain top scored with a fine 73 while Tabarak made 64. This then set up the platform Moner looks for. Moner smashed

56 in 20 odd balls and got the Warriors total to 264/5 in 35 overs.

This was a good score but we needed to get Dangerman Butt Hussain out early.

Tabarak Dar contiuned to bowl his(Sluggish, Predictable, Inaccurate, Nothing ) "SPIN" Bowling and got rid of both dangermen Butt Hussain, caught by Jawad Ashraf, and Rizwan Sattar, given LBW. Tabarak picked up three wickets. Not to be undone, Zain Abbas also picked up 4 wickets with his Slower Ball inclding the ones of top scorers Tauseef Bukhari (49) and Toby White (48). Moner wraped up by picking up 2 wickets with Lamma on 221/9 in

35 overs losing by 43 runs.

Lamma and LSW are have the same number of points on the table currently but LSW have played less games and are undefeated at the moment.

LSW will be keen to keep the undefeated record at KCC on Dec 9th when they take on KCC Tartars.
