LSW Warriors started the 1st match of the season with a convincing win against MCC St Georges. LSW Warriors chose to bat first on a new Mission Road wicket. Both LSW openers scored runs (Jawaid Iqbal 44 and Azhar Illahi 47) while Tabarak Dar and Moner Dar made life miserable for the fielders in the extreme hot and humid condition with a barrage of 6s.

Tabarak Dar scored 73 runs and for Warriors to a total of 264/6 in the allotted 35 overs.

In reply St Georges were all out for 201 with Tabarak Dar performing once again taking 4 for 31 with his off spin bowling.

This win should help Warriors in good spirits to re-claim the Sunday League Title this season. Next Week LSW Warriors have a bye and will face HKU at Sandy Bay on September 16th
